The highlight of my weekend was definitely seeing Vroom. We know this. The concert was freakin awesome. I spent half of it in awe and the other half kicking myself for not going to every single concert of theirs when I was in college. I know I was intimidated by them and the pretty people that hung around them, but boy do I ever regret it. And now I make a solemn vow to never let great things pass me by. And all of you can hold me to it.
The other highlights of the weekend mostly revolved around food. Go figure. I had 3 slices of Kelli’s fabulous cake. Man it was good. Like seriously good. Like competitive with Mad Hatters good.
And then we went to Applebee’s. And they still have The Apple Chimi Cheesecake. And I completely heart The Chimi. Applebee’s here doesnt have The Chimi. And that makes 4 things that Lynchburg has that we dont (the others being: Vroom, TGIFridays and Nick & Kelli (and Charlie, cause he really is a great dog)).
But it doesnt stop there. The 5th thing would be Sheetz. Steve and I stopped there on the way home. I had just finished some of Kelli’s cake for breakfast and didnt have room for a Schmagel, but I did order one for Steve, on the awesome touch screen.
It was an awesome trip to the ‘burg. Nick & Kelli are great hosts (with great cake and a great dog!). Vroom was awesome. And even seeing Liberty, and some old friends, was good too.
You can see pictures from the weekend here.
You can watch a video clip from the concert here.

Just FYI, the Chapel Hill Applebee’s has recently re-embraced the Chimi Cheesecake. I was so thrilled. That is all.

I hung out with Vroom in college (and high school, for that matter), and I don’t think anyone would describe me as pretty. Intimidating, yes, but definitely not pretty.
