I hate Fruit on the Bottom Yogurt. Its official. I was trying to give it a chance. Steve had picked up a few and as I set out this week to eat healthier, I decided to steal one. First of all, I dont like the idea that it starts off as ‘vanilla’ yogurt. I am appalled by ‘vanilla’ yogurt. It’s not really vanilla at all. Just because its white like vanilla ice cream doesnt make it vanilla. You cant fool me, yogurt industry! Besides the fact that it starts off as ‘vanilla’, its the whole stirring the ‘fruit’ in thing. As you stir, its kinda gross, and an hour later, you have something you might consider eating. Yes, this could pass as red raspberry, I’m okay to eat this now. Oh look, its a seed. It MUST be raspberry. And raspberry is a fruit. And this seed was clearly on the bottom of my cup at some point. Bah.
And then. And then I think to look on the side of the cup at the nutrional information. You wanna know something. That cup of yogurt has the same amount of calories as the breakfast I was trying to avoid today, a McDonald’s biscuit. Sure there’s a bit more fat in the biscuit, but there’s also a lot less sugar. Go figure!
Stupid Fruit on the Bottom yogurt, pretending to be all healthy. Snob.
Alright, I’m over it. On to other things…
Hockey. Sadly, the ‘Canes lost to the Lightning, 5 to 2. But, as for my first full hockey game, I thought it was enjoyable. I spent most of the game sitting on the edge of my bed. There was a lot of “Ooo ooo! Damn.” as the Lightning’s goalie was very good at his job. But thats okay. I really did enjoy watching it, and though I dont think I’ll be able to tune into every game, I’ll definitely do my best. I’m also going to make an effort learning players names. You can learn them too. Lets start with #12 Eric Staal. That little guy will be turning 21 at the end of this month. Bet that’ll be some party. He scored a goal last night. Good for him.
Next ‘Canes game is Friday. Its a home game. They’ll win it, I have faith.
