Carolina Waits For Me
A year ago, I never would have thought I’d be excited to see something in the mail from the Department of Homeland Security. But, here I am, jumping up and down for joy because NOW we are approved by the United States to be parents. We got our I-171H in the mail. The letter was pretty dry, and not an easy read, but I got the important stuff out of it. One day, I might suggest they rewrite it to say “We think you guys are super cool and will make excellent parents. You rock! All the best - CIS.” But no… it says something like “It has been determined that you are able to furnish proper care to an orphan or orphans as defined by section 101(B)(1)(F) of the immigration and nationality act.” Boooring. But hey, none of my new parent friends have official approval from the government to be parents. Iiiii do.
Come on Korea, I’m ready!
