Today, I Choose
My house celebrated Mother’s Day on Saturday.
First, I woke up much too early. But I was quickly surprised with my very first Mother’s Day present. Yay! Steve bought me a lovely necklace.
 
The stone represents AJ’s birthstone. But its not. AJ was born in November, and that birthstone is citrine. Which is kind of a yellowy orange stone. Not that pretty. So, Steve was wise enough to go with something else, blue topaz. And we’ll just pretend.
While out celebrating with my mom, I bought a pretty hanging plant in honor of AJ’s birth mom and foster mom. I hope it lives a long time.
All in all, not a bad way to spend my first mother’s day.
