Old Brown Shoe Baby

So, I bought these first. They were everything I wanted in a first shoe. But when I put them on AJ, it was obvious he didn’t find them comfortable. I tried them a couple more times, just be to sure, and finally gave up on them. So, I bought some fake Robeez from Target. Which have adorable monkeys on them (and I think its clear how I feel about monkeys).

Amazingly, AJ walks normally in these. Unfortunately, they are soft soled, so while they may keep his feet warm in the cooling temps, they dont provide much protection. Which is fine when he spends the majority of his time inside, or being carried from place to place. But, already, his independence has him preferring to walk. More structured shoes wont be far behind, I think. And so it begins…

I’ve heard Robeez are a really excellent shoe for babies because of the soft sole. It allows them to feel how to work their developing feet while still offering the protection bare feet don’t. I have tons of friends who’s kids wear them and the Target brand and no one’s taken a rock or anything in them. Plus they’re teh cutest!
