I had a baby in September, and was pleased with how quickly she got her SS#. I don’t remember exactly how long it took, but I seem to remember the official time frame being something like “14 weeks of longer” and it was only about 4-6 weeks. You need the # by 4/15 to get it on your taxes (if you efile it right then) right? I’d say you’ll be okay.

Yeah I don’t know if we’re going to get Nat’s social security number in time to file this year either … if only we didn’t have to spend money on the children until they were tax deductible!
