Is It Any Wonder

I’ve decided to revamp the Market section of this blog. It used to contain items that couldnt be put on a registry, and I used it for AJ’s birthday wish list. But, we’ll be wishing for less now (the kid has enough toys to last through three birthdays) so I figured I’d use it to list out AJ’s Daily Menu. I’m working so friggin hard to prepare his meals, I might as well make it public so you can all tell me how awesome (and crazy) I am, and so that I can hopefully help other moms (and dads) when they need food ideas.
It’s definitely gotten easier for me over the past month, as AJ has a few things he will eat everyday and enjoy. So, breakfast is almost always the same (though last night, we decided to X out yogurt, and see if that changes his rough nights of late) and there are a few staples that make a frequent appearance. The boy still loves his blueberries, and also seems to enjoy red grapes. But I do try to throw in some new items. Cinnamon makes everything better, thats for sure.
In addition to his three meals, he’s still drinking 3 eight ounce bottles of soy milk. Kid loves his bottles, and I’m not ready to take them away. I enjoy our bottle time. He also has one or two snacks, which are usually cheerios or gerber fruit puffs.
So, enjoy the menus. Lord knows I put a lot of work into them. And please contribute any healthy ideas… I’m up for anything.

Wow you want to make my meals?!?! I don’t know how you make your baked apple, but I found a recipe that was really good- core apple and put in dish with sides, pack hole with brown sugar (ends up being like 1-2 tbsp depending on the size of the hole). Put a sliver of butter on the top so the sugar doesn’t burn and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Microwave for 2 mins or until it’s to the tenderness you like. It might not be as healthy as the way you make it but it sure is good (especially with vanilla ice cream!)
