I Cant Survive Without Your Sweet Love
Yesterday, as I was picking up AJ from his last day of daycare until January 7th, I found out that his teacher, Miss Suzie, will not be returning in January. I was so sad I cried, right there in front of her.
AJ has two wonderful teachers, both of whom I wrote heartfelt thank you cards to, along with their Christmas gifts. These women have made my life so much easier over the past few months. You all know how stressed I was about daycare. Really, within the first week, they made me feel so comfortable and I knew AJ was in good hands.
But Suzie seemed to bond with AJ a little more. She was quick to learn his likes and dislikes, she started feeding him all his meals, helped him nap better (to the point of seeing if napping on a mat with the bigger kids was better than being in a crib, and it is!). I am so thankful to her for all her effort and love.
But thats the risk of having your kid in day care, right? Teachers come and go, no matter how much your child has bonded with them.
On the plus side, Suzie was kind enough to offer to babysit whenever, and left me her number. It will be nice to have a sitter that he knows so well, though she will be the first one we’ll have to pay… ah well.
Here’s hoping AJ’s new teacher is equally awesome.
