Thermometers

I didnt know about this item till I spotted it on Kelli’s registry. But I’ve read a bit about it and it sounds like a smart buy. As a child, I had my temp taken rectally one too many times, so I’d like to avoid that humilation with my Baby. While regular digital thermometers are manageable for older childen, struggling with a toddler to keep the thing under its arm is nearly impossible.
If you cant afford the price on the Temporal (though the difference isnt that great), I’ll recommend an Ear scanner. But not without warning. A lot of people say these bad boys, though convenient (unless your child has an ear infection, then, notsomuch pleasant) are not always accurate. Most recommend taking the temp three times and getting an average. However, its not that bad… its not like you’d be getting 99.1 with one reading and 103.4 with another. More often than not, after three months of having a baby, you can tell if it has a temp just by looking at it. Its a Mommy skill (that I somehow managed to acquire at the age of 13).
