It’s Been One Week
Steve and I dropped off our passport applications today. $200 later and we should have our passports in 7 weeks. The scariest part is that our official birth certificates get sent in with the application and (supposedly) they send them back with our passports. Thankfully, I have copies of them for any other documentation we might need. Hopefully they will not misplace our birth certificates, as its no easy task to obtain new ones (especially from New York City!).
We’re definitely on the waiting side of the fence. Our homestudy is past the rough draft and being approved by the important people from our agency. Our I-600A is in the (hopefully) capable hands at CIS. And now our passport application is on its way for processing.
