Too Cute Clothes
Here’s an example of the cute onsies available online. Like at Wry Baby. And Small Roar. And Baby Rock Apparel.
But my very favorite is from My Retro Baby.

It only took one time for me to learn the importance of covering my baby brother’s squirtable parts while changing his diaper. A wash cloth or wet wipe probably handles the job just as well, but these things are way cute and machine washable. Though I dont know yet if I’ll be needing one, I know some others will.
Perhaps we should all buy some stock in Wee Blocks, cause in The Year of the Baby, we’ve added another boy. The yet to be named (how about Sabrinan? Sabrin? Sabrina Joe?) son of Slava & Yura let the world know that he too is proud of his man parts and joined the ranks of now 4 boys to be born this fall. We might just have to start calling it The Year of the Boy (which, thankfully, has the same acronym). But I’m still holding out for myself or Annie to come up with a girl. We’ll see.
I know for a fact that if I’m on the first floor and The Steve’s on the third floor, we can not hear each other do anything. So, a Baby Monitor just seems like a good idea. But I dont need a live camera feed of Baby, nor do I need to know Baby’s heart rate or body temp. A basic walkie talkie will do for me. This one got pretty good reviews, is relatively inexpenisve and pretty. It’s by Safety 1st, which is an excellent moto.
Safe Glow 2 Receiver Monitor
You all know I’m not a touchy feely person. I dont often hug, I certainly dont cuddle, and most of the time, I just prefer to be a safe distance away from people. But, as I’ve recently learned, Koreans take the whole touchy feely thing to a whole new level. They wear their babies everywhere. All the freakin time. And though it will be a major adjustment for me, if it helps me bond with Baby, I’m game.
And so, I’ve been searching for the perfect sling. I’m not a fan of the Bjorn or Snugli. Mostly because they dont look that comfortable to me. I want something equally safe, but I want it to feel more like a part of me. Lately, slings have become increasingly popular. So, websites selling much too expensive custom slings are all over the place. And I (with the help of others) have managed to weed through the unreasonable and find one I’m very excited about.
You know how I felt about MyVeryOwnBag… and now I can have MyVeryOwnSling.
Lucky Baby Wear
Lucky Baby makes custom slings for much cheaper than some other sites. They have lots of super cute fabrics and designs to pick from, or you can pick out your own and send it to them. The Steve has already put in a request for Blue Flames and Camo. I have many ideas for what I would like… I think I’m most excited about purchasing this product. Big fan of the personalized items.
If Lucky Baby doesnt do it for you, here’s another site I liked. Hotslings
There’s also the Podaegi wrap, which is the traditional Korean carrier. But, it kinda scares me. I dont quite get how it works and I’d be afraid of putting it on wrong. If I can get a demonstration while in Korea and maybe even purchase one there, I’d like one.
