Juice Box Buddies by Mommy’s Helper

There will be a time in the near future when we will receive a picture of our baby. And then, we’ll have to wait three months till we get to actually meet him. It will certainly be torturous, but I’m hoping baby showers and decorating a nursery will distract me.
But there is one thing I know I want to do when we receive our referral. I want to mail a package to my baby. Top of my list of items to include in the package would be a baby safe photo album with pictures of us, our friends and family, the cats and whatever else I think the baby might enjoy seeing.
So, I’ve been on the hunt for an album, and I may have found the perfect one.

I dont even recycle (though I would if it were more convenient). But, these diapers still appeal to me. Yes, poo should be flushed down the toilet, I completely agree. It definitely eliminates the whole diaper genie, diaper champ controversy. And I’m well aware of the obscene amount of diapers I’ve changed in my lifetime that are still sitting in a landfill somewhere. I’m also not afraid to admit that I will have nothing to do with cloth diapers. And until today, I didnt know another option existed.
But I’d definitely like to give these a try. So, if you’re an environmentalist and would like to encourage an earth healthy habit, feel free to get me the starter pack.

Look what I bought!

Yay! I’m so excited! I found it on craigslist (for only 65 dollars! normally, these lovely gliders average $250). Whats funny is, I found one just like it yesterday, spent half the day emailing back and forth with the seller and then it got sold to someone else. I was so disappointed. But! Now I know God had a better plan. Cause this one was 10 dollars cheaper and only a year old (the other one was 5 years old). And now its mine. And my sweet husband will be spending a chunk of his day off traveling to go pick it up. But, its my first piece of furniture for the baby’s room. Yay! (Btw, if we get a girl, I’ll be reupholstering it). One more Yay!

We got our passport photos taken this weekend. And next week we have an appointment to turn in our passport applications. Since they take 6 weeks to process and get them back to you, I’m glad we’re getting them done now. (Even though we’ll still have them before CIS approves our I-600. But whatever).
