Small Small World

So, I got an email, from a woman that came across my blog through one of the message boards I post on regularly. And she recognized the woman holding AJ in this picture.

That is my son’s foster mother, and also her son’s foster mother, four years back. How crazy is that? When she went to Korea to pick up her son, she got to meet this woman and spend some time with her. And in a couple of months, I’ll get to do the same. But for now, I got a small peek into what life might be like for AJ right now. I could not be more thankful. One more little thing to help me get through the days till I can have him in my arms.

O Is For The Only One I See

I got to work today to find 4 new pictures and a little update on AJ! Yay! I am so so excited!!! The pictures were taken on 4/16/07. So, just before he turned 5 months old. At that time, he weighed 18.3 pounds (holy cow!) and was 26.3 inches long. Thats a BIG boy! The report also says “Kunyoung is doing well with good health (thank God!) and developments. He can roll both side and he is trying to crawl now. He creeps (but not in the TLC sense of the word), reaches for object and brings it to mouth. And he transfers object from hand to hand. He makes good eye-contact and his eyes follow objects well. He is a happy baby boy who babbles and laughs well.”
And now for pictures! I would just like to point out the purple elephant he’s holding. Thats my boy!

Sitting On A Rainbow

We got our legals! Yay! They arrived on Thursday, but since I was out of town this weekend, I’m just now figuring out what I’m supposed to do with them. The legal documents that Korea sends to us include certificates of acknowledgment, consent to adoption, statement of release, certificate of guardianship (in Korea), the family register documentation, and a consent to adoption (filled out by his birth mother) (saddest form of them all). Now that we have these, we can send our I-600 to USCIS for them to process our immigration permit. Woo hoo!
