Tell Me That You’ll Wait For Me

Details! Details!

We are leaving today! We fly out of RDU at 7pm and hang out at JFK for a bit, before getting on a 12:50am flight to Seoul. I’ve never flown a red-eye before! I feel so fancy. It’ll be about 4pm on Tuesday when we arrive in Seoul. But in Seoul, it’ll be 5am on Wednesday. After we get our luggage and find a shuttle, we will check into the Renaissance Hotel in Seoul. It is only three blocks from SWS (the agency). We got a great deal on the reservation for the hotel, thanks to Philip at khrc.com.
Once we check in, get settled and freshen up, we are hoping to be able to meet AJ. We’re still waiting on a confirmation that that will work out, so please pray that it does. We are very anxious to meet him! We will likely go to his foster parents house and get to spend some time with him there. But then we have to leave him! How sad!
We will spend Thursday doing some touristy stuff, if the weather holds up.
And on Friday, we should have him in our arms forever! That will give us most of Friday and all of Saturday to get to know each other before we get on the plane on Sunday and come home.
Our flight leaves Seoul at 10am on Sunday, and we arrive in Atlanta at 10:50am on Sunday. Crazy! We have a short flight to RDU after that, and then we’ll be home! As a family of three!!
Wow!

Check another item off the list, we got our I-600 Approval! This is a form from US Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) giving us permission to immigrate AJ into the United States. Well, at least thats what I think it says… cause they use fancy statements like “Your petition to classify the beneficiary as an immediate relative of a United States citizen has been forwarded to the United States Consulate at NVC (National Visa Center).” and “The visa petition you filed has been approved.”
We’re very excited. Cause this means we could - literally - get the call at any time. But it could also be months away (gotta love that).  But really, it should be soon. Which is both unbelievably exciting and incredibly nerve racking. Holy cow the nerves.
